I first learnt of vocaloid IA through chancing upon a demo video of her singing Tori no Uta last December. I thought it was awesome given her voice was sampled from Lia who is reputable for her voice and singing, and the Tori no Uta cover really sounded almost as if it was sung by Lia. Needless to say I was amazed, and much to my excitement vocaloid IA has finally been released yesterday!

Official Demo Track:
This track showcases samples from a collection of different songs, all sung by Vocaloid IA. Honestly, I was a little disappointed with how the cover of “My Soul, Your Beats” turned out as the voice didn’t sound all that much like Lia’s, but the demo by1stPLACE shown below sounded closer to the original.

From the demo tracks, it seems that IA is rather versatile; it does have quite a bit of potential doesn’t it? I’m looking forward to hearing more songs featuring her, and she just might become my favourite vocaloid in the future. What do you think?
